About Stablewind Thoroughbred Management Recently thoroughbred owners have risen up and given notice that "they won't take it anymore". In other words they are tired of sales agents "double dipping", being paid a commission by the owners they represent at the sales and being paid a commission by the consignors. Who's pocket are they watching over? Certainly not yours. Several years ago, I sat down and thought about the commission payment method and didn't like it. That's when I came up with the Flat Fee payment method. Having worked within the industry for 30+ years I have worked in most capacities of thoroughbred racing and breeding. I have represented owners in both selling and buying yearlings, broodmares and two year olds in training. Unlike many consultants or advisors, I have worked directly with horses, I took out my trainers license in 1986 from Maryland. I have managed farms, and racing stables. If you would like to join the thousands of horse owners in enjoying the wonderful world of horse racing please call, or e-mail me. Vita Licari - President - Stablewind Thoroughbred Management

Some of our successes: Bella Bandita (mare) bought at the age of 10 for $5,200 carrying a foal ( stud fee was $5K ) the investment of $5,200 generated $135k selling 3 1/2 of her foals. Key Oui - recommended breeding her dam Baba Rebob to Key Recognition which produced Key Oui. She was stake placed and an earner of over $100k. (See above article.) Majesty's Time and Dr. Kiernan - recommended breeding their dam Torelia to Majesty's Prince, both were multiple stake winners or placed with Dr. Kiernan winning the Gr.II Bowling Green ( turf ) Milehighkisses - bought as a weanling for $1,700 in Dec 2004 to pinhook as a yearling in Oct 2005. Sold for $13,000. Wee Like U (mare) - bought for less than $10k in foal, sold that foal for $30k, the mare was bred back to Austinpower ( Jpn ), that foal sold for $35k. Both fillies are earners of over $120k. These are some of our successes. As you can see, none of these were huge investments for the owners, but garnered a profit for their connections.
(4/14) Talented Filly KEY OUI continues to demonstrate her versatility coming from off the pace today at Aqueduct Racetrack. Sitting last going into the last turn, apprentice jockey Norberto Arroyo, Jr. moved his charge along the rail before angling to the middle of the track where the 3 year-old Key Recognition filly drove relentlessly to the wire, getting up by a nose. Trained by H. Allen Jerkins, Key Oui has won a six furlong race showing speed, a one-turn mile race laying close to the pace and today's 1-1/8th mile, two-turn race coming from off the pace. In her 6 lifetime starts she shows a 3 wins and one placing for earnings of $86,580. Owned and bred by Howard T. Whitbred in partnership with Christine Brennan, Key Oui is out of the King's Bishop mare, Baba Rebob.
